Essential Duties:

- Participate in contract start-up meetings to learn about contract requirements;
- Be the main contact for the customer and subcontractors throughout the project;
- Perform project planning, scheduling and work scheduling;
- Check plans and contracts to ensure compliance and understanding by all project stakeholders, including subcontractors;
- Ensure that the project runs according to plan, in order to meet deadlines, established budgets and the product quality required by the customer;
- Follow up on various changes to the contract in order to present, manage and negotiate any extras or credits that may arise;
- Constantly monitor progress on site and, if necessary, take part in site meetings;
- Provide details to the accounting department for project invoicing;
- At project closure, negotiate and settle all extras with subcontractors and customers;
- Any other tasks required by immediate superior.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must:
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the construction industry (steel structures an asset)
- 5 years' experience in project management
- Good computer knowledge of the Windows environment.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Bilingualism
- Organized and good communicator
- Be autonomous, demonstrate leadership and enjoy teamwork
- Knowledge of structural steel building engineering.
- Willingness to undergo training offered by the company
- Have an up-to-date passport
